YouTuber Gaurav ‘Flying Beast’ Taneja faced a LinkedIn account lockout amid an ongoing social media storm following his controversial appearance on Shark Tank India Season 4.
“Hi team @LinkedInIndia. I have been locked out of my account for 48+ hrs now. Can you help me get the account back please Thanks @LinkedInHelp,” Taneja posted. LinkedIn India responded: “Hey! We are sorry for the trouble with your account, and are here to help.We have received and responded to your DM, please check. Thanks! – PK”
The incident comes after Taneja’s heated exchange with Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal on the show, which followed Taneja’s lengthy LinkedIn rebuttal to Mittal’s criticism on the show. In his post, Taneja had defended his business acumen by comparing his supplement brand BeastLife’s social media performance to Shaadi.com’s, writing: “For perspective: Shaadi.com IG distribution (since April 2015): 125K followers. 8-month-old BeastLife: 127K followers and growing. Shaadi.com might have spent millions to create this distribution.”
The controversy began when Mittal called Taneja a “good influencer” but a “terrible entrepreneur” during his BeastLife pitch on Shark Tank India. Following the criticism, Taneja reportedly updated his LinkedIn bio to embrace the critique, though this cannot be verified due to his current account inaccessibility.
In his last visible LinkedIn post before the lockout, Taneja had emphasized his digital marketing expertise, stating, “With over 8 years of digital marketing experience, I understand the power of organic reach and audience trust. We’re already EBITDA positive, and because of the distribution we’ve built, we save nearly 90 per cent of our total expenditure on marketing.”
