According to police, the fan, a Navi Mumbai-based banker, was summoned as a witness after a case was registered against Kamra.
A summons was sent to the banker, who had booked a ticket for Kamra’s show through the BookMyShow app, a senior police official said, adding that before sending the notice, the investigation officer had called up the man and asked him to visit the Khar police station.

However, after “certain developments” in the case, the police called the banker again and told him his appearance was not required immediately, the official stated.
As per reports, the man, who was to return from a vacation on April 6, had to come to Mumbai on Monday.
The case against Kamra stems from a parody song he performed at a show in Mumbai, and appeared to target Shinde, who heads the Shiv Sena following his rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray.
Though the song did not mention Shinde, Shiv Sena members vandalized the studio where the show was recorded. On March 28, the Madras High Court granted interim anticipatory bail to the comedian. Justice Sunder Mohan also issued a notice to police, and posted the matter to April 7 for further hearing.
