US president Donald Trump was met with loud cheers and applause as he arrived at UFC 314 in Miami’s Kaseya Center on Saturday night. The crowd erupted with support, waving “Make America Great Again” hats and standing in ovation as the president entered the venue.
Trump, dressed in a dark suit with a bright yellow tie, greeted supporters with a fist pump to the soundtrack of “Taking care of business.” He entered the arena alongside longtime friend and UFC president Dana White, with his granddaughter Kai Trump also by his side.
The event marked Trump’s first UFC appearance since assuming office in January, although he has a history of attending major sports events including previous UFC fights, the Super Bowl, and Daytona 500.
Saturday’s championship match featured Australian fighter Alexander Volkanovski and Brazil’s Diego Lopes, competing for the featherweight title. Miami-Dade County, which supported Trump by 11 percentage points in the last election, hosted its fourth UFC event, giving the president another platform to connect with his base.
Speaking aboard Air Force One earlier that day, Trump said, “You know who’s going to win? Dana White. Dana White’s gonna win.”

Trump was joined by key figures from his administration including health and human services secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr, FBI director Kash Patel, director of national intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and White House aides Steven Cheung and Taylor Budowich. Secretary of state Marco Rubio and senator Ted Cruz also made an appearance.
Popular podcast host Joe Rogan, and billionaire Elon Musk, who currently heads the department of government efficiency, were also seen sitting next to Trump.
