Watch: JD Vance's reaction to stepping into the Oval Office for the first time

US Vice President JD Vance, the first millennial to hold the office, had a once-in-a-lifetime moment when he stepped into the Oval Office for the very first time, not as a visitor, but as the second-in-command to President Donald Trump.
A video shared by House speaker Mike Johnson on X captured Vance’s amazement as he entered the historic room following his oath-taking ceremony. The footage shows President Trump leading Vance to the Oval Office, pausing at the doorway to let him enter first.
“Wow,” Vance exclaimed as he took in the grandeur of the room. Looking around in awe, he added, “This is incredible.”
Later, Vance took to X to share his feelings, calling the experience “one of the coolest moments of my life.”

From Appalachia to the White House
Speaker Mike Johnson, who filmed the moment, highlighted the significance of Vance’s journey, saying, “Only in America can a hardworking young man from Appalachia rise from his humble circumstances to enter the Oval for the first time as VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.”
The moment of awe came after President Trump and Vice President Vance met with Republican leaders at the White House to discuss their agenda following the inauguration. According to Speaker Johnson, Vance casually mentioned that he had never visited the Oval Office before.
“I told him and President Trump that I HAD to capture the moment on video,” Johnson said.
Reacting to the video, one user said, “Could be your office after January 20th 2029.”
“I love that you shared it but how sad that Biden didn’t ever have his Senators to the White House,” another wrote.
“That’s awesome. I’m so happy for you and am so glad that you are our Vice President,” one more user said.
