Watch: How jeweller foils robbery in Palghar using bamboo sticks

PALGHAR: Jeweller of Mamta Jeweller, Rupsingh Dasana, foiled an armed robbery at his jewellery store on Thursday late night at Saphale in Maharashtra’S Palghar district.

Around 7.24pm two people, of which one was armed, entered the jewellery shop and one of them brandished a gun. But the jeweller took hold of a bamboo kept next to him and charged towards the robbers.
The robbers fled the scene but not before firing a round. API Datta Shelke of the Saphale police station said that they fired a round to scare off people and ended up damaging the glass of the shop.
Cops also confirmed that they found a few bamboo sticks and a small pouch which had stones.
Palghar superintendent of police Balasaheb Patil confirmed that four were there and one round was fired from the desi katta. Soon, cops reached the scene of crime to gather evidence.
Accordingly a case has been registered at the Saphale police station under relevant charges.
