Uttrakhand CM Dhami launches Destination Tehri Calendar 2025

Uttrakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Destination Tehri Calendar 2025 on the theme of Winter Tourism at Tehri today. This calendar highlights Tehri’s emerging potential as a premier winter tourism destination, featuring its rich mix of adventure, scenic beauty, and spiritual landmarks. The calendar was made by the District Administration of Tehri Garhwal in collaboration with Uttarakhand Tourism and The Times of India.
The launch event, which took place at the Tehri Dam, showcases a host of activities that Tehri offers tourists during the winter season. From thrilling adventure sports to peaceful spiritual retreats, Tehri has become a go-to destination for those looking to experience the best of Uttarakhand’s winter offerings.
The calendar emphasizes Tehri’s diverse range of winter attractions, including the picturesque Tehri Lake, renowned for its serene beauty and water sports; the rugged hills of the surrounding regions offering trekking and mountaineering opportunities; and the rich religious heritage with sacred temples and shrines that attract pilgrims year-round.
Notable adventure sports like paragliding, kayaking, and trekking in the snow-covered peaks are featured, inviting adventure enthusiasts to explore Tehri’s natural wonders. The calendar also includes several lesser-known yet equally captivating spots that showcase the breathtaking scenic views, flora, and fauna of the region, making it a must-visit destination for travelers this winter.
In his address during the launch event, Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami spoke about Tehri’s bright future as a hub for adventure tourism:
“Tehri has always been a treasure trove of natural beauty and cultural richness. With the launch of this Winter Tourism Calendar, we aim to highlight the untapped potential of Tehri as a leading adventure destination. Our government is committed to supporting the development of infrastructure and promoting sustainable tourism in the region. We believe that Tehri, with its vast array of activities and serene landscapes, is well on its way to becoming one of the most sought-after adventure destinations in India.”
The Chief minister further added, “Tehri’s emerging tourism sector will not only boost local economies but also provide opportunities for employment and skill development for the youth of the region. We encourage both domestic and international travelers to explore the charm of Tehri this winter.”

Launghing the Tehri Calendar 2025 on the theme of Winter Tourism

District magistrate of Tehri, Mayur Dixit, also shared his thoughts on the occasion, highlighting the district administration’s efforts to promote tourism: “With its unique combination of adventure, spirituality, and breathtaking natural beauty, Tehri has immense potential to become a year-round tourist destination. Through this calendar, we aim to showcase the best of Tehri’s winter offerings and invite travelers to experience its charm. The district administration is working closely with stakeholders to enhance tourism infrastructure and ensure a seamless experience for visitors. We are confident that this initiative will further elevate Tehri’s status on the tourism map of India.”
“Secretary of tourism, Sachin Kurve, was presented with the Destination Tehri Calendar 2025 by a TOI official at the Secretariat. Sachin Kurve appreciated the calendar, which highlights various aspects of tourism in Tehri. He shared his view that Tehri has immense potential to emerge as a global adventure hub and mentioned that the Acro Festival is organized every year to invite players and tourists from across the country.”
The calendar launch was attended by key officials from the Uttarakhand tourism department, local leaders, and tourism experts, all of whom shared their enthusiasm for the growing tourism potential of the region.
