US President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday blamed President Joe Biden‘s “Open Borders Policy” for the rise in violent crime in the country. He further asserted that Biden and his group of election-interfering “thugs” had caused lasting damage to the country. Trump’s statements come after a pickup truck drove into a crowd, killing at least 15 people in New Orleans, and an explosion occurred outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
Trump blames Biden’s ‘Open Borders Policy’
Trump posted on Truth Social that, under Biden’s “Open Borders Policy,” he had repeatedly warned during rallies and elsewhere that radical Islamic terrorism and other forms of violent crime would become so severe in America that it would be difficult to imagine or believe. He claimed that this time had arrived and was worse than anticipated.
“With the Biden ‘Open Border’s Policy’ I said, many times during Rallies, and elsewhere, that Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime, will become so bad in America that it will become hard to even imagine or believe. That time has come, only worse than ever imagined,” the president-elect wrote.
Trump’s attack on Biden’s election-interfering “thugs”
Trump described Joe Biden as the worst president in American history and a total disaster, claiming that Biden and his group of election-interfering associates had inflicted enduring harm on the country.
“Joe Biden is the WORST PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF AMERICA, A COMPLETE AND TOTAL DISASTER. What he and his group of Election Interfering “thugs” have done to our Country will not soon be forgotten! MAGA,” he added.
‘Our Country is a disaster’
In an earlier post on Wednesday, Trump wrote that the US is a disaster and has become a laughingstock worldwide. He claimed this was the result of open borders and weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership. Trump alleged that the DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors had failed to do their jobs, describing them as incompetent and corrupt, and accused them of unlawfully targeting him as a political opponent instead of focusing on protecting Americans from violent individuals who had infiltrated the government and the nation.
“Our Country is a disaster, a laughing stock all over the World! This is what happens when you have OPEN BORDERS, with weak, ineffective, and virtually nonexistent leadership. The DOJ, FBI, and Democrat state and local prosecutors have not done their job. They are incompetent and corrupt, having spent all of their waking hours unlawfully attacking their political opponent, ME, rather than focusing on protecting Americans from the outside and inside violent SCUM that has infiltrated all aspects of our government, and our Nation itself. Democrats should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen to our Country. The CIA must get involved, NOW, before it is too late. The USA is breaking down — A violent erosion of Safety, National Security, and Democracy is taking place all across our Nation,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform.

In New Orleans, a pickup truck drove into a crowd, killing at least 15 people on Wednesday. The driver, identified as Shamsud-Din Jabbar, is a US citizen from Texas.
In Las Vegas, an explosion occurred outside the Trump International Hotel on the same day. Local news reports indicate firework mortars and camp fuel canisters caused the blast. The suspect is an Army veteran from Colorado.
The incidents are under investigation.
New Orleans suspect’s link to ISIS
The New Orleans suspect had an ISIS flag on his rented truck’s trailer hitch. The FBI is investigating Jabbar’s potential ties to extremist groups. President Biden said Wednesday that Jabbar posted videos on social media hours before the attack that “indicated that he was inspired by ISIS” and had a “desire to kill.”
