BHOPAL: A 5-year-old child was allegedly harassed in a kindergarten school after the child pooped in his uniform during school hours in Rewa district. Based on the complaint of the parents, senior officials of the education department have initiated a probe into the incident.

The incident took place at a school in the city on Jan 18.
The child studied there and went to school as usual, but he pooped in his school uniform. The caretakers present at the school, however, removed the clothes and, as per the complaint of the child’s kin, threw the child in the bathroom and then made him clean himself. They kept the child naked, wrapped a cloth around him, and sent him home, the parents alleged in their complaint.
The private school management has terminated the caretaker who attended to the child.
Meanwhile, the district education officer in Rewa has constituted a probe committee.
DEO Rewa, Sudama Lal Gupta, said, “Parents came with the complaint against the school management and have alleged harassment. A probe committee has been constituted.”
