Teacher threatens to fail student in exam, rapes her | India News

A 33-year-old teacher at a govt school in Sabarkantha, Gujarat, was booked on charge of raping a Class 10 student after threatening to fail her in exams if she resisted. On Feb 7, the man lured the girl, 15, to a hotel under the pretence of celebrating his birthday. He told the girl that his friend would pick her up and instructed her not to mention the plan to anyone. Once inside the hotel, he allegedly raped her. Police have also booked the teacher’s friend for abetting the alleged crime.
