SURAT: A police officer was caught on video thrashing a boy who was riding his bicycle during a road drill for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s convoy on Thursday.
The video, which went viral on social media, shows the officer pulling the boy’s hair and pushing him while he sat on his bike.
Following the incident, the officer, identified as sub-inspector BA Gadhvi, was removed from ground duty and reassigned to control room duty.
Gadhvi, currently serving as a police sub-inspector (PSI) in Morbi district, was deployed under the Surat traffic department for the PM’s visit.
