Sydel Curry-Lee, the sister of NBA superstar Stephen Curry, has made a surprising revelation that is caught her fans by surprise. In a teaser for her new podcast Straight to Cam, Sydel shared that if there were one woman she’d consider leaving her husband for, it would be Hollywood star Zoe Saldana. The revelation came during a candid conversation with her co-host Cameron Brink, where the two discussed personal topics like surgeries, pets, and their ultimate “woman crushes.”
“I started thinking about all the women who I would leave my husband for,” Sydel Curry-Lee admitted on the podcast. “Zoe Saldana, easily.”
The timing of her comment aligns with Zoe Saldana’s ongoing success in Hollywood. The actress has been nominated for an Academy Award in 2025 for her role in Emilia Perez, further cementing her reputation as a leading figure in the entertainment industry. Brink agreed wholeheartedly, calling Saldana “stunning” and adding that men are “lucky.”
The Straight to Cam podcast officially launched its first episode on January 28 and is available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music. The show brings a fresh voice to the podcasting space as Sydel Curry-Lee and Brink, both closely tied to the basketball world, dive into topics that blend personal anecdotes with broader pop culture themes.
Brink’s connection to the Curry family is worth noting. She and Stephen Curry share a unique bond as god-siblings due to their parents’ college friendship at Virginia Tech. This familial closeness adds depth to their conversations, making the podcast relatable for fans of both basketball and lifestyle content.
On the family front, Sydel Curry-Lee and her husband, Phoenix Suns guard Damion Lee, are gearing up for their third child, expected in May 2025. Married since 2018, the couple already has two children, Daxon and Daryn. Meanwhile, other Curry family members are thriving. Steph and his wife, Ayesha, are raising four children, while Seth Curry and his wife, Callie Rivers-Curry, have three.
The Curry family has not been an exception to the growing popularity of podcasts among sportsmen and their families. Sports legends LeBron James and Savannah James have also dabbled in podcasting, and Steph and Dell Curry recently began their Heat Check podcast.
