Salman Khan had been facing severe death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi and things got more serious after the death of Khan’s close friend Baba Siddiqui. Salman’s security has been amped up since then. But despite the death threats, Khan has continued to fulfill his work commitments – be it shoots or promotions. The actor is currently promoting his upcoming movie ‘Sikandar‘.
Salman reacts to death threats
The actor was interacting with a group of media as he promoted his movie ‘Sikandar’. Reacting to whether he’s scared with all the death threats he’s been receiving, the actor said, “Bhagwan, Allah sab unpar hai. Jitni umar likhi hai, utni likhi hai. Bas yahi hai. Kabhi kabhi itne logon ko saath mein leke chalna padta hai, bas wohi problem ho jaati hai.”
Lawrence Bishnoi and the ‘Black buck’ case
Reportedly, Bishnoi has been wanting to take revenge from Salman for the fact that the actor allegedly killed a blackbuck during the shoot of ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’. The Bishnoi community, which reveres the blackbuck was deeply offended by the incident. In 2018 when, during a court appearance in Jodhpur, Bishnoi said, “We will kill Salman Khan. Everyone will know once we take action. I have not done anything as of now, they are accusing me of crimes for no reason.” It all started when gunshots were fired at Salman’s house in April 2024.
On work front, Sikandar set for Eid release
Salman is back with an Eid release in the form of ‘Sikandar’. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss of ‘Ghajini’ fame. During the recent trailer launch event of the film, Salman said that he’s confident that the movie will cross Rs 200 crore. He said, “Picture achi ho ya buri ho, par Eid, Diwali aise sab time pe aati hai toh woh Rs 100 crore toh paar kara hi dete hain… Rs 100 crore bohot pehle ki baat hain, ab Rs 200 crore.”
