HYDERABAD: Actor Allu Arjun was on Friday granted regular bail by a local court in the case involving stampede during premiere of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on Dec 4.
A woman had died in the incident and her injured son continues to be in critical condition.
Additional metropolitan sessions judge, while granting him regular bail, laid down certain conditions including restricting him from leaving the country without prior court permission. He was also asked for a personal bond of Rs 50,000 along with two sureties.
“The accused shall present himself before SHO Chikkadpally police station every Sunday between 10am and 1pm for two months or until filing of chargesheet, whichever is earlier. The petitioner shall not hamper the probe in any manner nor directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat, or promise to any witness so as to dissuade them from disclosing such facts to the court or to police,” the judge said.
On Dec 13, arrested Arjun was arrested from his residence. Hours later, the high court granted him interim bail. But by that time the actor had been shifted to Chanchalguda jail where he spent the night. It was only the next day that the high court’s interim bail was implemented by the prison authorities. A few days ago, Arjun had moved the criminal court for regular bail.
