Rajpal Yadav's father passes away; actor rushes to Delhi

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav‘s father, Naurang Yadav, reportedly passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Reports doing the rounds claim that Naurang was undergoing treatment for an ailment at AIIMS in Delhi. He was admitted to the hospital after feeling unwell for several days.
Rajpal, who was in Thailand shooting for his upcoming film, reportedly cut short his schedule and rushed to Delhi to be with his family during this difficult time.
An official statement on his father’s demise is still awaited from the actor’s team.
Rajpal has often spoken about his close bond with his father. Back in 2018, the actor shared a heartfelt post on social media, calling his father the “biggest driving force” in his life. Sharing a happy photo with his dad, the actor wrote, “If it wasn’t for your belief in me, I would not be where I am today. Thank you for being my father, I love you.”

Fans soon took to their social media handles to extend their condolences for the tragic loss.
News of his father’s demise comes just days after the actor issued a statement following reports that he received death threats from Pakistan. Comedian Kapil Sharma, Rajpal, choreographer Remo D’Souza, and actor-singer Sugandha Mishra are reportedly among those who received threats, prompting the police to register an FIR.

In his audio statement, Yadav clarified that he had already informed both the cybercrime department and the police about the threats and had refrained from speaking further on the matter.
The actor stated, “I am an actor, and in acting, I try to entertain people of all ages, young and old, through my work. I don’t want to say anything more than this. Whatever needs to be said about this matter, the agencies are capable of providing the information. I have shared the details I was aware of.”
According to the police, the threatening email was sent from Pakistan. The message claimed that the actor was being monitored and that the threat was not merely a publicity stunt to harass him. “We urge you to treat this message with utmost seriousness and confidentiality,” read the email which was signed off with the name ‘BISHNU.’
