Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun has been on a record-breaking spree at the box office. However, the film witnessed a significant 65% drop in box office numbers on its fifth Monday, earning an estimated Rs 2.5 crore, as per early data from Sacnilk.com.
Despite the dip, the film continues to shatter records. It has had a phenomenal box office run, grossing Rs 725.8 crore in its opening week and adding Rs 264.8 crore in its second week. Collections slowed in the third and fourth weeks, bringing in Rs 129.5 crore and Rs 69.65 crore, respectively.
The fifth week began on a subdued note, with earnings of Rs 3.75 crore on Friday, Rs 5.5 crore on Saturday, and Rs 7.2 crore on Sunday. Monday’s collection of Rs 2.5 crore brings the fifth-week total to an estimated Rs 18.95 crore so far.
The film’s cumulative net box office collection in India now stands at approximately Rs 1208.7 crore. Among its achievements, the Hindi-dubbed version has crossed the unprecedented Rs 800 crore mark, making it the first Hindi release to achieve such a milestone.
Globally, Pushpa 2: The Rule has amassed an impressive Rs 1800 crore in just four weeks, solidifying its status as a blockbuster.
Directed by Sukumar, the film features Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in key roles, alongside Allu Arjun’s celebrated performance that has captivated audiences worldwide.
