PUNE: The disbursement of Mukhyamantri Mazhi Ladki Bahin Yojana for Jan will proceed without any reduction in beneficiary numbers despite reports of a few recipients opting out in some districts, women and child development (WCD) department officials said on Monday.
Officials added that WCD minister Aditi Tatkare has sought district-wise beneficiary data and opt-out applications by this week. With the Jan 26 payment deadline approaching, the department will maintain last month’s disbursement pattern.
“Disbursement in Jan will be without any changes,” officials told TOI.
