'Milk bucket slipped off my hand': Bihar man files case against Rahul Gandhi over 'fight against Indian state' remark

NEW DELHI: A man in Bihar lodged a case against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for causing him to drop a bucket full of milk resulting in a loss of Rs 250.
Aggrieved complainant Mukesh Kumar Chaudhary claimed that he received a shock after he heard Rahul’s remarks claiming that “the BJP and RSS have captured every single institution, and we are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.”
“I was in such a state of shock that my bucket full of five litres of milk, priced at Rs 50 per litre, slipped off my hand. Rahul Gandhi was threatening the sovereignty of the nation,” Chaudhary said.
Samastipur resident, in his petition, sought trial of the Congress leader under various BNS sections, including 152 that pertains to sedition.
This comes days after an FIR was filed against the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha at Pan Bazar police station in Guwahati for the statement.
Addressing Congress leaders during the inauguration of the party’s new headquarters at Kotla Road, New Delhi, Rahul said, “Do not think we are fighting a fair fight. There is no fairness in this. If you believe that we are fighting a political organisation called the BJP or the RSS, you have not understood what is going on. The BJP and the RSS have captured every single institution of our country. We are now fighting the BJP, the RSS, and the Indian state itself.”
