Mexico has expressed its readiness to collaborate with Washington as the US under President Donald Trump intensifies deportations of Mexican citizens. The Mexican foreign ministry released a statement on Friday confirming its commitment to supporting returning nationals.
“We will always accept the arrival of Mexicans to our territory with open arms,” the ministry said, following news that Mexico had accepted a record four deportation flights in a single day on Thursday. The announcement came shortly after the White House press secretary highlighted the development in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The ministry stressed its responsibility to ensure a dignified reintegration process for deported citizens. This comes amid heightened efforts by the US administration to enforce immigration laws, a move that has drawn both domestic and international attention.
