'Many more children will die': Schoolboy dies by suicide in Madhya Pradesh, leaves video alleging teacher forced him to drink beer

BHOPAL: A Class 12 student has died by suicide in MP’s Shivpuri district after leaving a video on his cellphone where he accused a teacher of harassing him and forcing him to drink liquor.
In the video, he appealed to govt and police to improve the education system, warning that “many more children like him will die”.
On Wednesday evening, victim Bunty Dhakad walked to the tracks near Kolaras railway station, around 280km from Bhopal, and died by suicide. The loco engineer applied emergency brakes, but couldn’t save the schoolboy. He was rushed to Jayarogya Hospital in Gwalior, 170km away, in a critical condition, where he died of his injuries.
During investigation, the video Bunty recorded just before his suicide was found. In it, he accuses a teacher of encouraging alcohol consumption among students and forcing him to drink beer at least once. He also alleged that the teacher forced students to take tuition from him at his residence, threatening them with low grades if they refused.
Kolaras police and GRP are investigating the case. GRP officers attempted to record Bunty’s statement in hospital, but he was in no condition to speak. The probe is focusing on his video.
