Karnataka DySP suspended after video of ‘indecent act’ in office toilet goes viral
Deputy superintendent of police B Ramachandrappa was suspended after a video showed him behaving inappropriately with a woman in his office bathroom.

TUMAKURU: The state govt Friday suspended deputy superintendent of police (DySP) of Madhugiri sub-division in Tumakuru, B Ramachandrappa, after a video surfaced showing him behaving inappropriately with a woman inside the bathroom of his office in Madhugiri.
Ramachandrappa was the DySP for Koratagere, the constituency of home minister G Parameshwara.
Earlier on Thursday night, a 35-second video, showing Ramachandrappa inside the bathroom with a woman standing in front of him went viral.
Tumakuru SP Ashok KV told the media that he would bring the matter to the notice of senior police officers and take appropriate action. “A report on the incident was submitted by the SP to the inspector general of police (Central range), and the IGP submitted it to the director general and inspector general of police (DG-IGP) Alok Mohan, who suspended him on Friday evening,” police sources said.

Investigations revealed that the woman came to Madhugiri police station Thursday with a few individuals to lodge a complaint. As others were ‘busy speaking to the investigating officer’, Ramachandrappa befriended the woman and took her aside, the sources said. After a while, they were seen walking towards the building’s corner. The bathroom was at the end of the same corner.
“They both entered the bathroom and indulged in an obscene act. On the same occasion, someone, placed their mobile on the window of the bathroom and recorded it. However, the recording stopped after 35 seconds as the woman discovered the recording and hid behind Ramachandrappa,” the sources said.
