Jill Biden and Kamala Harris are not exactly known for public warmth and their apparent hatred for each other is so open that conspiracy theorists did not shy from claiming that Jill Biden in all probability voted for Donald Trump in the presidential election. At the funeral of Jimmy Carter which saw five presidents together — Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Barack Obama, George W Bush and Bill Clinton — Kamala Harris had an awkward moment with Jill Biden.
Though Kamala Harris and Jill Biden sat beside each other, they did not greet or even exchange any gesture. Social media users noted that they refused to even look at each other’s sight.
“Jill Biden hates Kamala so much it’s hilarious,” one wrote commenting on their coldness.
“They cannot STAND each other. It’s so obvious,” another wrote.
“Omg pure hatred! The tension between the women is unreal!” a third user commented.
“She won’t even glance in her direction,” one wrote.
“The way she snatched the papers back from her. Delicious,” another wrote referring to the pocketbook which Kamala Harris was holding.
Kamala Harris took the pocketbook and handed it over to Jill Biden
Some social media users noted that despite their well-known coldness in public, Kamala Harris actually extended a warm gesture as she took the pocketbook kept on the seat beside her. As she saw Jill Biden approaching to take the seat, she took the pocketbook and handed it over to the outgoing First Lady. Jill Biden took it and then they looked straight. Even when Kamala Harris gave Jill Biden the pocketbook, they did not exchange any glance.
Kamala Harris was full of expressions as she at one point glanced over her left shoulder to take a glance at Obama and Donald Trump engaging in a conversation. Harris was seen sighing and rolling her eyes as well.
We probably like each other: Donald Trump on his viral moment with Obama
Donald Trump reacted to his chitchat with Obama which went viral as Obama was seen smiling. “It did look very friendly, I must say. I saw it on your wonderful network just a little while ago before I came in, and I said, ‘Boy, they look like two people that like each other.’ And we probably do,” Trump said adding that he pretty much got along with everybody.
“We have little different philosophies, right? I don’t know, we just got along .But I got along with everybody on that. You know, we met backstage before we went on, and I thought it was a beautiful service, but we all got along very well.”
