Justin Baldoni has filed a counter lawsuit against Blake Lively, accusing her of trying to keep him and his entire Wayfarer Studios team out of the premiere of their movie, ‘It Ends With Us’. The $250 million lawsuit that he filed against ‘The New York Times’ stated that Mr. Baldoni said Ms. Lively tried to sabotage him on the film project that he directed, executive produced, and acted in. It continued to get worse as the Hollywood power couple is sued by Baldoni who claims that Reynolds and wife Lively orchestrated a campaign against him.
Court documents have now come to reveal that Lively had tried to stop him from attending the film’s premiere. But after he brought enough pressure to bear on her, she eventually released him and his crew this time but this time on what he describes as very humiliating conditions. The lawsuit charges that Baldoni and the cast of Wayfarer were sequestered away from the other cast members and were not admitted to the exclusive after-party but instead had to hold their own party at additional cost. He further claims that red-carpet time was limited, and he and his family were placed in a holding area in a basement, entirely cut off from the rest of the event.
In his lawsuit, Baldoni accused Lively of “stealing” the movie from him, robbing him and his crew of the joy of seeing the fruits of their labor. He also stated that Lively had intentionally alienated him and his family from the premiere, thereby sullying the team’s experience.
Ryan Reynolds is also a defendant in the lawsuit, with allegations of perpetuating the scenario. Baldoni even threatened Reynolds by calling him an aggressive guy towards him and even during his rampage, mentioned that the other is a “fat-shamer” of Lively. Baldoni asserted that Reynolds even forced his former agency, WME, to drop him as a client. The agency dropped Baldoni shortly after the lawsuit filed by Lively against him where she accused him of several offenses such as creating a hostile work environment, sexual harassment, and launching a smear campaign against her.
WME clarified that it was not true that Reynolds forced his agent at the premiere of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’. The legal battle, a very public one, is not over yet as Baldoni also alleged that Lively and Reynolds have been sabotaging his career.
