Hollywood actor John Capodice passes away

John Capodice, renowned for his roles in ‘General Hospital‘ and ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective‘, has passed away at the age of 83. His death was confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter.
Carmine Cerullo was portrayed by Capodice in General Hospital from 1994 to 1996, where he appeared in six episodes. In the 1994 film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, he played a dismissive police officer. Capodice also had roles in notable films such as Wall Street, The Doors, Honeymoon in Vegas, Speed, and Independence Day.
John Capodice had an extensive list of guest-star credits on various television shows, including CSI, Seinfeld, Ellen, Another World, Knots Landing, Law & Order, Will & Grace, Spenser: For Hire, Kate & Allie, As the World Turns, Moonlighting, Murphy Brown, Melrose Place, Mad About You, Diagnosis Murder, Six Feet Under, The West Wing, and Murder, She Wrote. His first television role was as Lloyd Lord in six episodes of Ryan’s Hope.
Capodice also made two memorable commercial appearances. In one for Polly-O String Cheese, he portrayed Fred, a confused pizzeria worker who receives an unusual order for pizza with extra cheese but no tomato sauce or crust. The kids ordering simply wanted the mozzarella cheese, which Polly-O marketed as the “best part of the pizza.”
