Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend since September 2023 and a Kansas City Chiefs player, may have dropped hints that new songs are on the way after Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras tour. On the Pat McAfee Show, Kelce confessed to having heard some new tunes from his 35-year-old partner.
Travis Kelce hints at new songs from Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce hints at new songs from her after her sold-out Eras Tour ended a month ago. “There might be a few,” Kelce said during the January 13 episode of The Pat McAfee Show, after host Pat McAfee joked he’s expecting more tracks about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end from the pop star in the future. “I hear music everywhere,” Kelce added.
Kelce, who inspired Taylor’s Tortured Poets Department songs “So High School” and “The Alchemy,” expressed his love for Swift’s music and her work, stating he cannot reveal more about her future projects, but is in a haze about her music. “Come on now, you know it,” he shared. “I’ll never chime in, but you already know I’m here to support it. I’m here to see where it can go.”
Travis Kelce had a deep admiration for Taylor Swift before her attendance at the Chiefs’ Sept. 24, 2023 game. His interest in Taylor was first revealed in a TikTok video posted by the Chiefs in August 2023, during their secret dating period. Before Kelce could answer the prompt of who his celebrity crush was, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling spilled, “Taylor Swift!” Kelce smiled at the camera before holding his finger up to his moustache, saying, “Alright now!”
Swift’s dating history reveals her attraction to creative types like actors and musicians. However, her romance with Kelce, a lighthearted athlete, who signed a two-year deal with the Chiefs worth $34.25 million in 2024, feels refreshing after her six-year private relationship with Joe ended in April 2023.
Swift and Kelce have a rom-com-worthy relationship, as evidenced by a concertgoer’s video of her running into Kelce’ arms and exchanging a passionate kiss after performing in Argentina. Swift changed the lyrics in Karma from “the guy on the screen” to “the guy on the Chiefs,” surprising Kelce. She attended 13 Chiefs games last season and traveled straight from her Tokyo show to make the Super Bowl, showcasing their serious relationship.

Swift has attended seven games this season, with the Chiefs 7-0 when she’s in the building. She was also present for Kansas City’s Super Bowl win over the 49ers. Despite their strong relationship, their attention has decreased since last year. Swifties are eagerly awaiting Kelce’s proposal and the couple’s wedding. The Swifties are still spending time together.
