'I said one line about Rahul Gandhi and reply is coming from BJP': Arvind Kejriwal on Delhi polls 'jugalbandi'

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday accused Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress of ‘behind the scene ‘ partnership after the former Delhi chief minister criticised Rahul Gandhi for remaining silent over crucial issues but received a reaction from BJP instead.
Kejriwal accused Congress and BJP of forming a ‘behind the scene jugalbandi’ after BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya reacted to his remarks on Rahul Gandhi claiming the Congress leader is only concerned about his party and not the country.
“Today Rahul Gandhi came to Delhi. He abused me a lot. But I will not comment on his statements. His fight is to save Congress, my fight is to save the country,” Kejriwal had posted on X.
Malviya responded, “Worry about the country later, save your New Delhi seat now.”
Kejriwal was quick to call ‘jugalbandi’ on BJP’s reaction and said, “What is the matter…I said just one line about Rahul Gandhi and the reply is coming from the BJP. Look how much trouble the BJP is facing. Perhaps this Delhi election will expose the Jugalbandi going on behind the scenes between Congress and BJP for years.”

Kejriwal added as at least two major INDIA bloc partners have pledged support to AAP, leaving the grand old party for a solitary battle.
Earlier, Rahul had said, “Arvind Kejriwal had talked of removing corruption. Has he removed corruption? Just like Modi ji’s propaganda of making false promises, he is following the same strategy…. Pollution, corruption and inflation are on the rise in Delhi.”
He also drew comparisons between the state of national capital under Congress’s Sheila Dikshit and Kejriwal.
“Do you remember that Delhi when Sheila Dikshit was the chief minister of the national capital? … Arvind Kejriwal had said he will clean Delhi, make it corruption-free. There is so much pollution in Delhi… Did Arvind Kejriwal make Delhi corruption-free? Arvind Kejriwal campaigns in the same way as PM Modi does and makes false promises to the people,” he said.
Both Congress and AAP, which are a part of anti-BJP INDIA bloc, decided to contest the Delhi polls separately. Elections in Delhi are set to take place on February 5 and the votes would be counted on February 8.
