Gujarat Titans (GT) has responded to an earlier post by Google CEO Sundar Pichai. Pichai had questioned on X why cricketer Washington Sundar was benched in the IPL match against Punjab Kings. Following Sundar’s return to the team and a key performance in GT’s victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the franchise issued a reply.
“Sundar came. Sundar conquered,” GT said in a reply to Pichai’s post.
Sundar and Glenn Phillips were excluded from the playing XI, causing confusion among fans. An X user, Pushkar, expressed his frustration, questioning on the platform, “How Sundar sneaks into the best 15 of India but doesn’t get a place in any IPL XI when 10 teams exist is a mystery.”
Google CEO Pichai responded to the post, saying, “I have been wondering this too,” and added a smiley face.
