Hollywood actress and singer Paris Hilton’s Malibu home in California was destroyed in the recent wildfires sweeping through the area, leaving her “heartbroken beyond words.” Hilton witnessed the destruction on a news broadcast and expressed her devastation on social media platform Instagram.
“Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burned to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience,” Hilton shared on Instagram.
The home held significant personal memories for Hilton, including her dog Phoenix’s first steps and dreams of creating future memories with her daughter, London. While mourning the loss, Hilton expressed gratitude for her family’s safety and extended her sympathies to others affected by the fires.

“This home was where we built so many precious memories. It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London. While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets. My heart aches for those still in harm’s way or mourning greater losses. The devastation is unimaginable. To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking,” wrote Paris Hilton.

Hilton also expressed gratitude toward firefighters and first responders, calling them “true heroes,” and urged people to follow evacuation orders. She is working with her team to find ways to support those affected by the disaster.

Other celebrities who lost homes
Apart from Hilton, many other celebrities lost their homes in the California fires. Actor Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice, confirmed the loss of their Pacific Palisades home in a statement: “Janice and I lived in our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can’t be taken away. We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.” The Crystals lived in the home for 45 years.

Actor-singer Mandy Moore also lost her home in the Altadena area. She shared her experience on Instagram: “Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favourite restaurants, levelled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”

Other celebrities impacted include actor Cary Elwes, who confirmed the loss of his family’s home in the Palisades. Mark Hamill evacuated from Malibu, and Jamie Lee Curtis indicated her neighborhood and possibly her home were threatened. James Woods evacuated his home and later said: “It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say.”
