UP woman abandons husband, six kids, elopes with beggar

LUCKNOW: A 36-year-old woman from Hardoi district in Uttar Pradesh has allegedly abandoned her husband and six children to elope with a beggar.
The woman’s husband, Raju Kumar, has lodged an FIR under Section 87 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), accusing the beggar of abduction.
Raju Kumar, aged 45, resides with his wife Rajeshwari and their six children in the Harpalpur area of Hardoi.
He stated in his complaint that a beggar named Nanhe Pandit, 45, would frequently visit their neighborhood to ask for alms.
Pandit and Rajeshwari had developed a friendship and often communicated, including over the phone, according to Raju’s complaint.
On the afternoon of January 3, Rajeshwari told her eldest daughter, Khushboo, that she was going to the market to buy clothes and vegetables. However, she never returned.
Despite searching for her, Raju could not find his wife. In his complaint, he claimed that Rajeshwari had left with the money he had earned from selling a buffalo. He suspects that Nanhe Pandit had taken her away.
The Harpalpur police, led by SHO Raj Dev Mishra, have initiated a search for Nanhe Pandit.
