Gilbert Arenas, ex-NBA star and now a proud father of four kids, is currently making the news for teasing his son, Alijah Arenas. The latter, who is a 5-star prospect in the class of 2026, sat with his father on the Gil’s Arena podcast this Sunday. It was all fun and games, but that doesn’t mean the former NBA legend didn’t take this opportunity to tease his son a little.

Alijah Arenas is not far behind in the professional department, being one of the five-star prospects to start his collegiate basketball career in 2026. Recently, the Chatsworth high school shooting guard sat for a little chat with his father and his Gil’s Arena co-host, Josiah Johnson.

Johnson asked the younger Arenas to name his favorite NBA players during the podcast. To this, Alijah named LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Trae Young, and James Harden. But it didn’t end there, Johnson then went on to remind him of Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, which led Alijah to quickly remake his list.
This time he only had to name his top 3 players, and he chose James Harden, LeBron James, and SGA. This quickly became a point of hilarity for the NBA star, who teased his son, saying: “He’s a Harden sexual.”

The 17-year-old currently plays for the Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles, and recently dropped 40 points at the Real Run Showcase.
