Foul smell leads neighbours to discover 4 bodies in septic tank in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: Four bodies were found in a septic tank situated behind a house in Singrauli district on Saturday evening.
The bodies were discovered behind the house of one Hari Prasad Prajapati, located in Badokhar village near gate number 3 of the Hindalco factory under Bargawan police station of the district.
At around 4 pm on Saturday, neighbours who reached the house after detecting a foul smell saw four bodies in the septic tank and then informed the police. The bodies were yet to be retrieved by the time the news was written.
SP Singrauli, Manish Khatri, said, “There are four bodies inside the septic tank. Efforts are on to bring out the bodies. It was becoming difficult to take out the bodies using ladders, so JCB machines have been deployed and a parallel ditch is being dug to retrieve the bodies.”
“It is the neighbours, who are also the relatives of the house owners, who first saw the bodies at around 4 pm and informed the police. Though the identity of the deceased will be confirmed once the bodies are brought out, prima facie it is suspected that the bodies are of the family members of the house owners. Neighbours, after seeing the bodies from above, suspect it to be of one Suresh Prajapati, son of the owner of the house,” he said.
Sources said that Suresh Prajapati, 30, son of Hari Prasad Prajapati, was seen at the premises by neighbours on January 1. He was also seen by some the next day. The house was open, and a car was parked there; the keys of the car were also in the car, said sources.
