After a gap of five years, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle is now back on Instagram where she recently shared the news of her upcoming new cooking show ‘With Love, Meghan’. Ahead of the show being aired on January 15, Meghan now posted an emotional video paying tribute to her beloved pet dog Guy who is no more. In the caption, Meghan shared that she adopted Guy some 10 years ago and how over the years, he became an integral part of her life. From the time when she was working in ‘Suits’ to her royal wedding with Prince Harry to Harry and Meghan’s simple farm life in Montecito, Guy has been a part of it all.
However, what caught people’s attention in Meghan’s new video is the glimpses of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in it. It is noted that the royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan, prefer to keep their children away from the media and public– more so after they stepped down as senior members of the UK royal family in 2020. “Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats… He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm,” a source had told Tyla.com last year.
Since 2020, Harry and Meghan only recently shared a rare family picture with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in it for their official Christmas 2024 card. And now, in Meghan’s new video, people can not only see but also hear their kids for the very first time!

In the emotional video, Meghan has shared several pictures of her beloved pet beagle Guy, whom she lost recently. The video shows how Guy was not only much loved but also a special member of her family and a great friend to their kids– Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who are also seen sharing some sweet moments with the pet dog.

And for the first time, it is noted that Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s voices are heard in the video– which came as a pleasant surprise to many! In the video, one can see Prince Archie and his father Prince Harry taking Guy out for a walk. In another segment, one can also see Princess Lilibet playing with Guy in the park, while her mother Meghan watches them.

Though the royal children’s backs are turned towards the camera, they can be heard clearly in the video. For instance, in one portion people can hear Prince Archie telling his mom Meghan that Guy “might fall” as they are on a car journey. Similarly, in the end, people can listen to Princess Lilibet singing a sweet song for Guy along with mum Meghan.
Since this is the first time that Harry and Meghan’s children’s voices were heard, many people responded to Meghan’s video expressing their delight and surprise. One user said, “I just love seeing the little family moments in this video and the singing at the end”, another said, “Awww, this is too cute! Love dogs (much, much more than cats) and I feel for anyone mourning their furry friend.”
For the unversed, Prince Harry and Meghan got married in 2018, and they have two children together: Prince Archie, who is 5, and Princess Lilibet, who is 3 years old.
