After an intense three-and-a-half-month journey, Karan Veer Mehra has been crowned the winner of Bigg Boss 18. The actor made history by securing back-to-back victories, following his win in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. In a quick chat with Times of India TV, Karan opened up about his experience in the house, his camaraderie with Vivian Dsena, and addressed the controversy surrounding the ‘paid media’ allegations.
Reacting to the allegations of ‘Paid meida’ Karan Veer said, “I found all these allegations very stupid. Pure Hindustan ki media kharidna is not possible for me. I’m not Ambani or Adani in fact, even they can’t do this because if something is happening it will come out on social media. The press asked the question which the audience wanted to ask, you were the voice of the people. If his (Elvish) intention was something else at that point of time then he should have clarified it. Then media would have printed the same thing. This was a very simple exercise and it was presented in a very stupid way. Joh race mein akhri position par aata hai, woh aksar bahaane banata hai, jaise ‘mera joota khul gaya.’ Mujhe wahi waala attitude laga. (Those who come last in a race often make excuses like ‘my shoe came undone. I felt that same kind of attitude). It was very uncalled for. I feel not just me, this trophy belong to everyone who has loved me, supported me including the media. I am very confident that I won the show because of everyone’s efforts.”
He further added, “Itna paisa agar mere paas hota toh mera khud ka channel hota, main khud ke Bigg Boss par roz trophy le raha hota (If I had that much money, I would have my own channel and be winning a trophy on my own Bigg Boss every day). Whoever is spreading these lies just stop it right away. Many people informed me and have shown me messages where females working in the media are getting threats. Please do not do this it will go against you and aap he phasoge. Please stop it right away.”
When asked about his current equation with his 12-year-old friend Vivian Dsena, the ‘KKK 14’ winner said, “I’ve always said this Vivian is a very good person. I got to know that he spoke about me not getting my due. Bigg Boss also told me about the incident. Vivian and I have come out as friends and we are going to stay one. Bus trophy Maine le li hai ab dekhte hain kya scene hai.”
