Elon Musk gets invite letter for European headquarters from Polish town; Dear sir ...

A Polish town is hoping Elon Musk will purchase its massive 13th-century castle and establish his European headquarters there. Glogowek Mayor Piotr Bujak recently extended the invitation via a post on Musk’s social media platform, X, and through letters sent to his companies. While no price has been publicly set and Musk has yet to respond, Bujak told the Associated Press he was inspired by European media reports suggesting Musk was seeking a large European base, possibly a castle in Italy.

The Glogowek castle, located in southwestern Poland, has a rich history, including a brief stint as Poland’s capital in the 17th century and a visit from composer Ludwig van Beethoven.
“The castle has a very good vibe and is a perfect location for great things,” Bujak told the AP, also highlighting the region’s established winemaking tradition. “We do not feel worse than Tuscany. We have a perfect climate and this is the best place on Earth.”
The town emphasizes the castle’s convenient location near several European capitals (Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Warsaw) and the potential for a helicopter landing pad. Although the town-owned castle requires significant renovations and a private investor, it offers ample space for residential and commercial use.
