Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, has welcomed the Union Budget 2025-26, highlighting its focus on strengthening India’s education sector. He commended the government’s commitment to making India a global knowledge hub, with increased allocations for school and higher education.
The budget allocates Rs 128,650 crore to the Ministry of Education, with Rs 78,572 crore for school education and Rs 50,078 crore for higher education. Galgotia noted that initiatives such as Atal Tinkering Labs, the PM Research Fellowship Scheme, and the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence would enhance learning and research.
He also appreciated measures to improve skilling and ease financial access to education, stating that these steps align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
