NEW DELHI: An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 struck Myanmar early Friday, according to the National Center for Seismology.
The tremor occurred at a depth of 127 kilometres, with its epicentre located at latitude 24.92 N and longitude 94.97 E.
This follows a magnitude 5.1 earthquake that jolted Myanmar earlier this week, on 3 January at 10.02am IST, which caused no major damage.
In December, Myanmar was hit by a 4.2 magnitude earthquake.
