Donald Trump is expected to sign a list of executive orders in the frst hours after his inauguration.

In the first hours as the 47th president, Donald Trump will order the renaming of the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska’s Mount Denali, reports with access to the draft of the orders said. The renaming of the two natural features is to honor “American greatness,” according to a preview of the orders. “President Trump is bringing common sense to government and renewing the pillars of American Civilization,” the document says.
The draft document indicated the return of Mount McKinley is of special importance to Trump, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet making it the tallest peak in North America.
Obama ordered Mount McKinley to be renamed to Denali to honor the indigenous name of the mountain used by the Koyukon Athabaskans, the original inhabitants of Alaska.
Donald Trump’s executive orders
Donald Trump is going to issue a series of orders aimed at remaking America’s immigration policies, ending asylum access, sending troops to the southern border and ending birthright citizenship, an incoming White House official said.
Birthright citizenship means anyone born in the United States automatically becomes an American citizen. It’s been in place for over a century and applies to children born to someone in the country illegally or in the US on a tourist or student visa who plans to return to their home country. Trump’s effort to end it is certain to face legal challenges, and there was no information provided on how he intends to carry it out.
Donald Trump will order the US government to recognize only two biological sexes, an incoming White House official told reporters on Monday ahead of the presidential inauguration. “What we’re doing today is defining that it is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes: male and female,” the official said.
