Michael Dell, CEO of Dell, has said that he had a “constructive” meeting between technology industry leaders and US President Elon Musk as well as Elon Musk, specifically noting discussions centered on artificial intelligence (AI) and government efficiency. These comments follow reports of a gathering at the White House on Monday, which involved executives from various prominent technology companies, including Apple.
“Yesterday we had a productive discussion with [President Trump], Elon Musk and other tech CEOs about enhancing government efficiency and accelerating U.S. leadership in AI and technology,” Dell said in a post on X.
“We are proud to be a trusted AI partner for the U.S. government and look forward to more engaging discussions with customers and policymakers this week,” he added.
Musk replied to Dell’s post with an emoji of US flag.
Previous reports indicated that the high-profile gathering would feature executives from major technology companies, including IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, and HP CEO Enrique Lores, among others.
“Industry leaders have responded to President Trump’s America First economic agenda of tariffs, deregulation, and the unleashing of American energy with trillions in investment commitments that will create thousands of new jobs,” said White House spokesman Kush Desai, as per Reuters.
Dell praises Elon Musk
In a separate post, Dell re-shared an old post in which he posted a quote by 26th US President Theodore Roosevelt.
“Win or lose, respect to @elonmusk for being the man in the arena,” the Dell CEO said at that time, getting a “Thanks, Michael” from Musk.
“Even more true today,” Dell said in the latest post sharing a selfie with Tesla CEO.
