NEW DELHI: A business owner in Delhi allegedly died by suicide amidst an ongoing divorce case with his wife, police offcials said on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identifed as Puneet Khurana. According to the police, the Khurana died by hanging himself in his house.
The incident took place in the Delhi’ s Model Town area on Tuesday evening.
Khurana was involved in a divorce case with his wife and his family says he was distressed by the situation.
Puneet’s family stated that he had a phone conversation with his wife about their shared bakery business shortly before the incident.
They alleged that during the call, his wife insisted he could not remove her from the business despite their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The police have recovered Puneet’s phone and plan to question his wife regarding the matter.
