NEW DELHI: In the ongoing investigation into the suicide of a businessman in Model Town, the police have recorded statements from his wife and other individuals. They also seized the wife’s mobile phone, which has been sent for forensic analysis.
Police sources revealed that both families’ statements have been taken, and an audio clip circulating online is expected to provide crucial leads. “An audio clip went viral, and the police may question those individuals whose names surfaced in the clip to gather clues in the case,” a source said.
Additionally, police said, in order to study the medical history, both families have been told to submit the medical records of the businessman and his wife. The facts that emerged during the investigation so far have been sent to a legal expert, and the decision to register a case will be based on the legal advice received.
Police said they would investigate all the videos and other evidence provided by Puneet’s family members. His family also filed a complaint for abetment to suicide against his in-laws.
