KOTTAYAM: DC Books senior deputy editor Sreekumar A V was arrested and released on bail by the Kottayam East Police on Wednesday in the case related to the alleged leak of some parts of CPM functionary EP Jayarajan’s autobiography ‘Kattan Chayayum Parippuvadayum – Life of a Communist’ to the media.
The accused was charged under Section 72 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Sections 316(2) and 318(2) of the BNS.

A day after the excerpts appeared in the media, Jayarajan disowned the book and said that he did not authorize anyone to publish his autobiography. He said he was still writing the book and had not given the contract to anyone. He said he would take legal action against the publishers. DC Books eventually announced that it was postponing the release of the book by a few days due to “technical reasons”.
The official FB page of DC Books had announced that the book, which carries some unpleasant truths and frank talk by Jayarajan, was soon coming through DC Books.
