Cows possess magnetic power that wards off germs: Punjab governor Gulab Chand Kataria

BHILWARA: Punjab governor Gulab Chand Kataria Sunday called for renewed efforts towards conservation of cows in the country and praised PM Narendra Modi for his efforts to “crush political corruption underfoot”.
Presiding over a ceremony for laying the foundation of Tulsi Gaushala in Shambhupura village in Bhilwara district amid Vedic chants, Kataria said it was unfortunate that disrespect towards cows has been deliberately instilled and that lessons about cows are not part of the curriculum.
He hailed the reverence for cows as displayed by Lord Krishna and predicted that the world will eventually recognise the importance of cows, leading to their protection in every household.
“If cows are not preserved, agriculture in the country will vanish. Conspiracies have led to disrespect for cows, distancing people from them. In earlier times, mothers stayed healthy by tending to cows, who possess a magnetic power that can ward off germs from our bodies. It is unfortunate that cows have been misrepresented and not included in educational curricula, leading to their neglect,” said Kataria, formerly a minister in BJP govts in Rajasthan, in his address.
He also called Modi’s leadership a divine intervention aimed at eradicating corruption, noting that funds meant for the poor earlier failed to reach them due to corruption.
Notable among others who attended the event were RSS national executive member Suresh Chandra, cow rearing minister Zoraram Kumawat, MP Damodar Agarwal and Shahpura MLA Dr Lalaram Bairwa.
Kataria said Tulsi Gaushala would serve as a future model and urged govts to work on research related to cows. He also emphasised the need for monitoring and implementing welfare schemes for cows at the village level.
He spoke of the legal measures against cow slaughter and praised the financial support provided to cowsheds during the previous Vasundhara Raje govt. Speaking of the importance of the ballot box in democracy, Kataria said people’s representatives should act according to the people’s will.
“Historical figures like Shivaji and Rana Pratap faced challenges but succeeded with divine support. Divine intervention always guided the country during times of crisis,” he said, recalling the miracles associated with historical figures like Vivekananda.
