HYDERABAD: A man who entered a wine shop to commit burglary was caught on Monday morning as he was found lying on the floor after helping himself to some liquor.
In the incident, which took place in Narsingi of Medak district, the owner of the wine shop was surprised to find a man lying on the floor when he opened the shop on Monday. He immediately alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and took the burglar away.
The burglar entered the Kanakadurga wine shop by making a passage in the asbestos sheet roof.He entered the shop on Sunday night and put some cash that was in the shop into a bag he brought along.
He also filled his bag with liquor bottles. The burglar, who also consumed liquor from the bottles available in the shop, woke up to a shock when the police arrived in the morning after the owner saw him.
As the burglar was not fully conscious and appeared to be heavily drunk, the police first took him to a local hospital. The wine shop owner, Parsha Goud, along with the Narsingi police, registered a case and arrested the burglar.
