Johnston also noted how peculiar it will be to view Marchand in a Panthers jersey having played his whole NHL career for the Bruins and added it would be “interesting” to see him wear another team’s uniform.
Marchand was hurt in a game against the Tampa Bay Lightning in late February when he received an awkward hit off the boards. While he tried to play through it at first, the pain became too severe and he was forced to sit out.
