NAGPUR: Actor Sonu Sood‘s wife, Sonali (54), and her sister, Sumita Salve (55), were injured in a serious car accident on the Mumbai-Nagpur highway late on Monday.
The two were traveling to home from Nagpur airport after arriving in the city, with Sonali’s nephew driving the vehicle.
According to the police, the accident occurred on the Wardha flyover within the Sonegaon police station area when their car collided with a stationary truck from behind.
Both Sonali and Sumita were hospitalised and are currently under observation, while her nephew was treated with first aid and discharged, as confirmed by Dr Abhijeet Bhatkulkar of Max Hospital.
