'Ab kahin nahin jayenge': Bihar CM Nitish Kumar backs NDA after Lalu Yadav's 'doors open' remark

PATNA: Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday reiterated his commitment to staying with the NDA, putting to rest speculations about a possible “switchover.”
“I will stay with the NDA,” Nitish told the media during his Pragati Yatra in Muzaffarpur.
He added, “Do baar galti se idhar-udhar chale gaye the… ab kahin nahin jayenge (We accidentally wandered off twice now we won’t go anywhere).”
Nitish’s remarks came days after RJD chief Lalu Prasad expressed willingness to “forgive and welcome” Nitish to the Grand Alliance, saying his doors remained open.
“Our doors are open, and Nitish, being the chief minister, should also unbolt his gate,” Lalu told the media on Wednesday evening. Stating that he would forgive past mistakes, Lalu added, “Maaf karna mera farz hai (To forgive is my duty).”
Lalu’s daughter and Lok Sabha member Misa Bharti further fueled speculations on Friday evening with her cryptic comments.
Dekhiye wo purane dost hain, wo kya kahte hain wahi jane (They have been friends for a long time. What he (Lalu) says, only he knows),” Bharti, who represents the Patliputra constituency in the Lok Sabha, told the media.
