Donald Trump reacts to 'loser' Jim Acosta leaving CNN: 'Really good news'
Jim Acosta announced on the air that he would be exiting CNN.

President Donald Trump Tuesday reacted to Jim Acosta leaving CNN and celebrated it as good news. Acosta announced on air that he was leaving the network and took a parting shot apparently at the Trump administration urging the viewers to not “give in to the lies”. “You may have seen some reports about me and this show. And after giving all of this some careful consideration and weighing an alternative time slot CNN offered me, I have decided to move on,” Acosta said at the end of his 10 am program.
“Wow, really good news! Jim Acosta, one of the worst and most dishonest reporters in journalistic history, a major sleazebag, has been relegated by CNN Fake News to the Midnight hour, “Death Valley,” because of extraordinarily BAD RATINGS (and no talent!). Word is that he wants to QUIT, and that would be even better. Jim is a major loser who will fail no matter where he ends up. Good luck Jim!” Donald Trump posted racing to it.

Acosta will be replaced in the mornings by “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown” as part of a reshuffle. Acosta said he would announce more about his future plans in the coming days. Acosta, who has been at CNN for 18 years, was offered a less-prominent midnight slot, but the anchor chose to exit.“I have always believed it’s the job of the press to hold power to account. I have always tried to do that here at CNN,” Acosta said in his farewell message.

“I plan on doing all of that in the future. One final message: Don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to the fear. Hold on to the truth. And to hope, even if you have to get out your phone, record that message. I will not give in to the lies. I will not give in to the fear. Post it on your social media, so people can hear from you, too.”
“Until then, I want to thank all of you for tuning in. It has been an honor to be welcomed into your home for all of these years,” he added.
CNN released a statement which read: “Jim has had a long, distinguished nearly 20-year career at CNN, with a track record of standing up to authority, for the first amendment and for our journalistic freedoms. We want to thank him for the dedication and commitment he’s brought to his reporting and wish him the very best in the future.”
