The clash between Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy in the Department of Government Efficiency was the clash between two alphas, Thomas Ellsworth noted at a PBD podcast delving deep into what went wrong that Ramaswamy had to be out of DOGE even before it started working officially. Ellsworth said that Ramaswamy actually could have continued on DOGE alongside his Ohio governor election as his position in DOGE was not a government one. Like ambassadors keep their businesses running, he could have probably done both, the podcaster said.
“The other way of looking at it is that Vivek Ramaswamy is an alpha and Elon Musk is also an alpha. Ramaswamy is a guy who does not mince his words and is unafraid to turn it up to eleven,” he said.
But then the podcast concluded that the Ohio governor race is not bad for Ramaswamy as the Republicans need people there and being the senator of Ohio is much beneath now for Vivek Ramaswamy and so the governor role would be better than his role in the brand-new DOGE.
According to inside reports, Vivek Ramaswamy rattled a section of the MAGA after he criticized the American culture in his support for the H-1B visa program that allows US companies to hire foreign talents. Though Donald Trump, Elon Musk are also in favor of their visa program, Vivek Ramaswamy’s criticism of the American culture that they venerate mediocrity did not go down well with the Republicans.
It’s not exactly known what went wrong between Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy but Vivek’s allies said his terms with Elon is good.
Podcaster Patrick Pet-David said Elon is good and he can do DOGE alone. “Did you guys even see Vivek this entire week we’ve been here? I saw him walking at the inauguration but it is kind of obvious that once you are out of the little limelight…I saw everybody, we saw Kash Patel, and everybody spoke except Vivek. To me, a governorship is more important than the agency,” David said.
