Mahakumbh City: A ‘Sanskritik samagam manch’ (cultural stage’), meant to provide an opportunity for people to showcase their talent was inaugurated at the Swachh Sujal Gaon stall on Sunday.
The stage, set up by the Jal Jeevan Mission in sector-7 of the Mahakumbh area, was inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department Anurag Srivastava. Any visitor at the Swachh Sujal Gaon stall, wishing to showcase their talent would be able to use the stage for the purpose.
After the inauguration by the Additional Chief Secretary, several young talents present at the exhibition performed cultural programs on the stage. The Additional Chief Secretary also inspected various stalls at the Swachh Sujal Gaon exhibition.
“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the able leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Jal Jeevan Mission project has touched newer heights. Due to the hard work of departmental officers and employees, Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the highest number of tap connections in the country,” the Additional Chief Secretary said on the occasion.
“We have pursued an immensely satisfying noble goal of ensuring drinking water through taps to all rural houses across UP. We have made unprecedented progress, and we will soon achieve our target of providing potable tap water to each household,” he added.
Jal Jeevan Mission Song, Book Released
Additional Chief Secretary Anurag Srivastava also released the new song of the Jal Jeevan Mission and a book “Jal Dhara Se Jeevan Dhara” on the occasion. The book contains 11 moving stories that depict the struggle of villagers and their quest for water before 2017 and explains how the Har Ghar Nal Yojana has transformed people’s lives.
Malkham groups’s act leaves devotees spell bound
During this event, the Malkham Group, who had performed at the ‘India Got Talent’ show, put up an amazing performance that received wholesome praise from the sizeable audience that had turned up to witness the show. The artistes of the Malkham Group showed amazing dexterity and balancing ability on a wooden pole, leaving the more than 5,000 people present in the tent in awe.
Shiv Tandav enthrals audience
During the program, artists performed on “Shiv Tandav,” and the audience captivated by the performance started humming and swaying to the beats of “Shiv Tandav.” The devotees also chanted “Bam Bam Bhole” and “Om Namah Shivaya” right through the programme that lasted for more than two hours. Other artists also performed on the occasion and won applause.
