PATNA: Congress’s ally RJD was at pains on Sunday to downplay the implication of Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi labelling as “fake” the 2023 Bihar caste survey that the Grand Alliance counts as one of its achievements during 17 months in office.
“What Rahulji meant to say was that the very purpose of conducting the caste survey was defeated. Although the survey was done, the basic objective of hiking the quota limit could not be achieved as the court put a stay on it. So, the deprived sections who could have benefited from this survey were denied the opportunity,” RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh Yadav said.
