NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the nation in his 118th episode of Man Ki Baat. PM Modi started off by talking about the preparations for the Republic Day celebrations.
In his latest monthly broadcast ‘Mann ki Baat‘, PM Modi also reflected about the national voters day, Maha Kumbh, women participation in start-ups.
Here are some key quotes from Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address:
- “I remember all those great people who gave us the Constitution. Many discussions happened then. They are our heritage. I want to show you the original voice of some of the leaders. Dr BR Ambedkar said many things, I am showing you his words.”
- “Maha Kumbh has started. This celebrates unity in diversity. People from all over the world converge at Sangam. Rich or poor, all are same at Sangam. They eat together at Bhandaras. It unites from the south to the north. There has been a greater participation by youths in this Kumbh. When youths are connected to the culture, it makes the country strong. Gangasagar Mela was also organised in West Bengal. People from all over the world joined on Makar Sankranti. We celebrated the anniversary of pran pratishtha of Ram Temple. We need to keep our heritage intact while moving on the path of development.”
- “You must have seen that the youth are extensively participating in Kumbh. It is true that when the young generation proudly joins its civilization, then its roots become stronger and its golden future is assured. This time we are also witnessing the digital footprints on a large scale in Kumbh.”
- “I hope you will enjoy these words. We all need to work together. On January 25, there is
National Voters’ Day , because on the day ECI was formed. They have a bigger place in the country. When the first election happened, people doubted on democracy. But it has continued. I thank the ECI for making the process more robust. I congratulate the ECI for their impartial elections. I urge the voters to participate in the elections.” - Start-up India is taking shape, many start-ups are coming from two-tier, three-tier cities. Women are participating with a lot of enthusiasm. Earlier, start-ups used to be mocked. But it was changed in last decade. I want to say people to dream big. In our big country, if any person is doing a great, he needs to be hailed. Deepak Nabam is helping the homeless through his organisation. His organisation has been hailed.
In the previous episode of Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi talked India’s Constitution, calling it “our guiding light,” as the country prepares to celebrate its 75th anniversary. He announced a nationwide campaign inviting citizens to read the Preamble and share their videos, with a special website, Constitution75.com, providing access to the Constitution in multiple languages. PM Modi also discussed the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, where an AI chatbot will provide information in 11 languages. Additionally, he praised India’s growing creative industry and the launch of a Tamil teaching programme in Fiji.
